Sihanoukville: Sessions boat party

You’ll find regular English speaking holiday reps come round on the beach each day to promote their bars and other events.
We met a lovely rep called Steph who told us about their new weekly Wednesday boat party ‘Sundance’.

Here’s the impressive $10 package:

  • A boat party from 2-7pm
  • A free bucket on arrival of strong Whiskey and mixer
  • A free Sessions Tshirt
  • A plate of BBQ food on your return

Not bad for £7 eh?

This party was actually one of our favourite days in Sihanoukville we had so much fun!

The music varied in genre. There was some old Skool garage, house and the odd splash of R’n’B. A mix that I really loved.

Drinks on board weren’t too expensive either, you could grab a bucket for $5..as you can see, me and Simona took full advantage of this..

There were lots of drinking games on board to keep everyone occupied. As 2 couples we didn’t partake in them. Think Ibiza/Malia/Magaluf style fun on a boat.

Though it was thoroughly enjoyable to witness.

Half way through, the boat stopped at Otres Beach for an hour.

We jumped out and grabbed ourselves some food and cocktails from Ibiza bar. Then we all got involved in a game of ultimate tug of war. Europe vs. the rest of the world!

If you fancy chilling there you can just simply enjoy the scenery. Otres beach is lovely and a lot nicer than Serendipity.

After returning to the boat, we watched the lovely sunset over the horizon and then partied the afternoon away.

Making new friends along the way..

Docking around 7pm, we headed back to Sessions bar where we were each greeted with a big plate of BBQ Chicken and rice. Yum!
It was a really enjoyable day out and one I would recommend to anyone for the price.
Be warned though, If you’re looking for a relaxing sunset boat cruise, please do not book on this one.

Happy New Year!

Happy new year to all my fellow bloggers. I hope you had a great NYE and partied through until the early hours like us, spending today recovering.

As you are aware, I welcomed 2016 in 7 hours before the UK with my lovely boyfriend on this paradise island.

We did a bar crawl across Sairee Beach. It was filled with music, fireworks, lanterns and fire shows. Definitely one to remember!

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2016!

How did you spend your new year?

Koh Panghan: Christmas Full Moon Party

Thailands famous Full Moon party this month just happened to fall on Christmas Day. What a year to come travelling!

It will go down in the book as a memory I’ll remember for years to come. I’ll probably even tell my grandkids about it one day, and I hope they will get to experience one too.
It lived up to all my expectations, those of which were very high.

A long beach of thousands of party goers, a gleaming moon in the clear night sky, rows of stalls selling Thai buckets and UV hats and vest tops. UV face painting, night swimming, party music… Basically everything I love in life all in one place. One great big happy festival.

Down a random slide straight onto the sand (so dangerous but funny..they’d never allow it in England)

We had a home time of around 6am, what a very merry Christmas it was.

Christmas Eve Jungle Experience: Koh Panghan

Every 1 & 10 days before the Full Moon, a Jungle Experience Festival takes place in Baan Nai Wok. Conveniently for us this happened to be Christmas Eve this year, so off we went, DEETed up.

Welcome to the jungle.. Time for fun and games

With an impressive line up including ibizas Marco Loco, we was in for a great night of underground house music, something we haven’t really heard yet in Thailand.

Open air jungle, fire breathers, a 3D stage that can be confused as the head of either a cat or dog (I’m still not sure) and a circle of bars serving the famous Thai buckets.

Let the fun begin..

There were still tropical downpours, Hense my beautifully fashionable Anorak in all the pictures, but hey that just added to the craziness.

At 600 baht entry fee it was pricey but I would say worth the experience as ive never raved in a jungle before!

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves..

Have any of you been to one of these parties before?

Krabi: Aonang Beach Festival

This Friday and Saturday in Aonang, there’s been a great beach festival along the beachfront.   Food, music, culture and lots of stage performances, it appears we came at the right time!

I’m not 100% sure if there is a reason behind the festival, can anyone help?

I am aware that all the hotels around the area set up different stalls to sell things each year, but it may have traditionalised from somewhere?

Regardless, the atmosphere over the past few days has been buzzing.

I tried a ‘butterfly pea tea’, although I’d be lying if I said I’d enjoy the taste. I thought it was awful but glad I tried.

On the other hand the Indian chicken kebabs were absolutely amazing! So much so that the stall sold out just after us.

And I met some Geishas 😊

Here’s a few more pics from the night. If you’re in Krabi this time next year I’d recommend it!

A night in Koh San Road

1 crazy road, hundreds of cheap shops, rows of bars and restaurant and unbelievable street food!

I thought it may be best to sum this up in pictures…

Scorpion and cricket tasting, yum. I’m yet to pluck up the courage.

Street food here is amazing though and its twice as tasty as restaurants, and half the price! My chicken pad Thai was 50 baht (approx. 90p)

My friend Nathan ended up eating 5..

We made some new friends, they were lovely.

Buckets of Samson whiskey and mixer was 200 baht – I think it’s fair to say I was quite drunk by 2am when we got home.

Today we have been doing lots of touristy things like temples and landmarks – I’ll post this tomorrow 😊

A different side to the White Isle

I’ve been in Ibiza for the past week to celebrate my cousins wedding and had such a lovely time. The island is famous for its all night partying and world renowned clubs, which is basically what I have spent the last 6 years doing while I’ve been holidaying there.

My Ibiza party days
My Ibiza party days
What a lot of people don’t know about Ibiza is that outside the obvious Playa Den Bossa and San Antonio party districts, the Island is homes to some beautiful places with some of the clearest waters in Europe.

Alices Adventures Underground

Ever wondered how you’d cope if you were pushed down the rabbit hole like Alice?

150 years after Lewis Carroll created the wonderful weirdness that is Alice in Wonderland, Les Enfants Terribles have created their very own life size experience; ‘Alices Adventures Underground’, and everyone’s invited.

Alices Advertures Underground

The Vaults, underneath London Waterloo station, has been theatrically transformed for the summer, encouraging all to join the underground movement to rise against the fearsome Queen of Hearts.
