3 reasons to love Barcelona

August was my second time in Barcelona, and I loved it just as much as the first time. It really is a place that has everything, which is why its so popular all year round among tourists.

We stayed in the popular ‘Gothic Quarter’. The great thing about this place is that everything happens relatively close together, so most things are within 10 minutes walk from any popular destination.

Reason 1: A beautiful beach

Soft sand, clear water, an outside gym in the middle and bars and restaurants across the strip. What more do you need?

Reason 2: Lots of history

First and foremost, The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada FamíliaThis very large Roman Catholic church, designed by famous Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí is due to be complete by 2032. Dont let that stop you visting though, its absolutely amazing!

Camp Nou -The stadium home to FC Barcelona since its completion in 1957. With a seating capacity of 99,354, its the largest stadium in the whole of Europe. Now im not a football fan myself, but as I was with Liam, this was a ust on our to do list, and i have to day its was a great afternoon!

There are so many other museums and art galleries for those who like that sort of thing. The options are endless so make sure you have a look on Tripadvisor before you go!

And if you want a real taste of Tapas, without the tourist prices, head to Blai Street – a row of homely tapas restaurants that is cheap and absolutely amazing!

Reason 3: Vibrant nightlife

Whether you’re having a relatively ‘quiet one’ down La Rambla; the popular 1.2 kilometre street of cafes and bars, or partying until the early hours in Pacha along La Barceloneta beach, Barca nightlife really is one of the best.

Theres even an Ice Bar two clubs away from Pacha. Is anyone else just super impressed that such a hot country has an Ice Bar? I definitely am.

Post 200: Boatin’ in Cannes

So I’m writing this post while laying tanning on a boat in Cannes. This really is the life!

I’ve also just realised that this is my 200th post on my blog. What a lovely way to celebrate right? While chilling in the sunshine, while on holiday where I am at my happiest.

I’m in Cannes for a few days visiting our friend Kenzie who has grown up here. We are living like locals in the day, and tourists in the night. Seeing some great sights, soaking up the sun, and eating good French food.

Our first night here we got in around 3am and ate a cheese board! True French style. Better than your average drunken McDonald’s I suppose!

There are lots of places I’m going to post about here, but for now I’m going to nap in the sun.

I’ll just leave you with a lovely picture of the turquoise blue sea..

Happy Saturday!

Can you believe that weve all been best friends for about 7 years yet we have never been on a beach holiday with just the 4 of us??

We headed to Dussedorf for a weekend last year for my birthday which was great but raining. We’ve headed to Vegas, Ibiza, Turkey, the list goes on but always with lots more friends/in a big girl group.

I am extremely excited abot this can you tell? ha

Were staying in the beautiful Blue Bay Resort & Spa Hotel, 200m from the beach. Watch this space for a review on whether this place lives up to the pictures.

6 days of blissful sunbathing, dining, pampering, partying, and lots of laughs and memories made with my 3 favourite humans in the world. Winning!

On another plus note, its a bankholiday weekend yayyyy, lots of activities planned!! What are you doing over bank holiday?

The wifi struggle

Although I am super impressed with technology these days, and think it’s amazing that you can connect to most places in the world thanks to satellite and wifi.. There is nothing more frustrating that a bad wifi signal.

When you see that little connector sign, that excited feeling you feel, the happiness at the realisation that you can post on your blog today.

Only to realise that the icon is actually a symbol of false hope. Although the bars are full, it takes 20 minutes to load a page and you can just forget about uploading any photos. Yep that feeling; not cool.

I guess I’ll post properly when I return to the UK next week guys, I’m afraid I’m way too impatient for the struggle.

The daily hustle

So I’m sitting by the pool of my hotel, taking JuicePlus orders, answering my messages on my phone and speaking to lots of my happy customers. Feeling super blessed at the moment!

Earning while I spend, isn’t this the life? It’s true what they say, All you need is wifi and a dream ❤️

I’m doing well with my new business venture – very exciting times ahead and feeling super positive!

At this rate I could resort to travelling full time… Hmmm…

Happy Thursday guys, keep hustling.

Another Holiday?!

So thanks to my first months success in working for JuicePlus, I have managed to book a lovely holiday away with my mum and dad… For 9 days time!

I’m not quite bikini ready yet as this was very unexpected, but I am in need of some sun! Yes it’s ily been 4 weeks since I returned from travelling but I’ve already lost my tan.

We have booked to stay all inclusive at the Colina Mar in Gran Canaria, doesn’t it look lovely?

I’ve been Gran Canaria once many years ago and don’t remember much, so I’m excited to return.

I can’t wait and I’ll be sure to write a review on my return 😊

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Paddy’s day my fellow Irish men and women!

A day that commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland.

Did you know that Saint Patrick’s  day is celebrated in more countries than any other National day? Pretty cool huh, especially for such a small country.

I’m Irish of descent, yet i’ve still never managed to actually get myself to Ireland. Sorry excuse for a person I know.
Have no fear, I’m 100% heading to the green country this summer for a weekend. I’m just not sure where yet, any ideas?
Anyway wherever you are, lets celebrate the heritage and culture of this beautiful country. A culture of friendly, family orientated people who love a good drink. (Me included).
Grab yourself a Guinness, dress up in something green and cheers with a stranger.

You never know, you might just find your soulmate ha.

A different side to the White Isle

I’ve been in Ibiza for the past week to celebrate my cousins wedding and had such a lovely time. The island is famous for its all night partying and world renowned clubs, which is basically what I have spent the last 6 years doing while I’ve been holidaying there.

My Ibiza party days

What a lot of people don’t know about Ibiza is that outside the obvious Playa Den Bossa and San Antonio party districts, the Island is homes to some beautiful places with some of the clearest waters in Europe.

My South East Asia Travel Route!

Now I know that travelling is all about ‘being a free spirit’ and going with the flow, but I am a planner, through and through. I like to get things organized and know that the wheels are in motion. I have therefore, (much to every free spirited travelers dissatisfaction) compiled a very structured plan of my 3-4 month travelling experience. This is likely to change frequently, the number of days in each place will vary, I may not do all the activities and any feedback/recommendations I receive may change my mind, but I’ve based this around much of the advice/tips on travelling websites and blog posts I have researched over the past couple of months. Please take into account that most of these bullet points are not my own and have been taken from sources listed at the bottom of this post. Please feel free to correct/change/offer any alternatives or advice on the below recommend any places to add/avoid. I’m as open as a book.
