I am extremely excited abot this can you tell? ha

Were staying in the beautiful Blue Bay Resort & Spa Hotel, 200m from the beach. Watch this space for a review on whether this place lives up to the pictures.

6 days of blissful sunbathing, dining, pampering, partying, and lots of laughs and memories made with my 3 favourite humans in the world. Winning!

On another plus note, its a bankholiday weekend yayyyy, lots of activities planned!! What are you doing over bank holiday?

Happy Valentines Day!

I can’t believe how fast this year is flying by.

Most of my Valentine’s Days I’ve been single but I still love the concept.

I mean true, it is soo annoying on Facebook on the 14th Feb where everyone posts ‘the boy did good’ photos and statuses. Valentines is about spending time with loved ones not how much money someone spends on you.

I’ve had some great v.days with my girl pals. It doesn’t have to be a boyfriend/husband/partner! So please don’t get depressed if you’re single I hate that.

Last year I had the best valentines! I went ice skating over Canary Wharf and then to see 50 shades of gray with my other single girl friends.

We had a blast.

This year I’m with Liam in Cambodia and tonight we’re going to Dine in the Dark, how times change.
What are you doing for valentines?

Whether you are celebrating with a love interest of having some fun with your friends, make it a good one!

Koh Panghan: Christmas Full Moon Party

Thailands famous Full Moon party this month just happened to fall on Christmas Day. What a year to come travelling!

It will go down in the book as a memory I’ll remember for years to come. I’ll probably even tell my grandkids about it one day, and I hope they will get to experience one too.
It lived up to all my expectations, those of which were very high.

A long beach of thousands of party goers, a gleaming moon in the clear night sky, rows of stalls selling Thai buckets and UV hats and vest tops. UV face painting, night swimming, party music… Basically everything I love in life all in one place. One great big happy festival.

Down a random slide straight onto the sand (so dangerous but funny..they’d never allow it in England)

We had a home time of around 6am, what a very merry Christmas it was.

Christmas Eve Jungle Experience: Koh Panghan

Every 1 & 10 days before the Full Moon, a Jungle Experience Festival takes place in Baan Nai Wok. Conveniently for us this happened to be Christmas Eve this year, so off we went, DEETed up.

Welcome to the jungle.. Time for fun and games

With an impressive line up including ibizas Marco Loco, we was in for a great night of underground house music, something we haven’t really heard yet in Thailand.

Open air jungle, fire breathers, a 3D stage that can be confused as the head of either a cat or dog (I’m still not sure) and a circle of bars serving the famous Thai buckets.

Let the fun begin..

There were still tropical downpours, Hense my beautifully fashionable Anorak in all the pictures, but hey that just added to the craziness.

At 600 baht entry fee it was pricey but I would say worth the experience as ive never raved in a jungle before!

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves..

Have any of you been to one of these parties before?

Merry Christmas from Thailand!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Waking up to 30 degree heat in a beach resort by a pool really makes it hard for me to believe it’s Christmas!

This is the first time in 23 years I’m not with my family so mixed emotions today but other than that I’m living the life!

I even got to FaceTime my beautiful Neive and nephew 😊

I hope that everyone wherever you are, has a wonderful day filled with happiness and love and I’ll be posting soon about all the parties we have planned here to celebrate the festivities 🎄

Koh Samui in the rain

All we’ve done in Koh Samui the past couple of days is witness Thailands tropical thunderstorms at its finest. Our second day consisted of table tennis and pool at our hotel, with the odd run out to get food. To be honest it was perfect as we was all hungover after our 6am Samui turn out the night before. Ark bar was a great shout, and Samuis Ko Sahn Road.

Here’s some pics of the night:

Yesterday we decided not to let the rain defeat us and went on a 12km walk down the East coast of Samui to find ‘Hinyai and Hintai'(Grandfather and Grandmother rock). Named as this,I assume, simply because one formation looks like a giant penis, and the other like a vagina.

I have to say after trekking for 2 hours the result was quite disppointing..

Can you see the vagina?

On the plus side we see 4 different beaches and lots of boats.

I got in some good exercise and I feel ok today so I don’t think I caught pneumonia either. Oh and I found another swing.Winning.

We’ve woke up this morning to sunshine, hurrah! We’ve just arrived at our beach resort in Koh Panghan for Christmas. And it’s beautiful!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone

Kayaking in Krabi

On Saturday in Krabi we headed to Ao Tha Lane for an afternoon of Kayaking.. Little did I know at the time that I am the absolute don at it. Yes, Kayaking Champion 2015 over here. I think this maybe my new favourite water sport (only because I’m good at it).

Jack and I lead from the front every step of the way and mastered some key skills early on.

  Teamwork makes the dream work!

We headed around the canyon, played some games involving manoeuvring around and ducking under trees and dodges in and out of islands and rocks

We even see some monkeys along the way!

Such characters, they jumped on our boat to join in on the fun. Just to warn you, keep your stuff hidden, they like to steal things,  and never touch a monkey, they can be aggressive.

Great day all in all, the exercise knackered me out though and I was in bed by midnight.

What’s your favourite water sport?

Krabi: Aonang Beach Festival

This Friday and Saturday in Aonang, there’s been a great beach festival along the beachfront.   Food, music, culture and lots of stage performances, it appears we came at the right time!

I’m not 100% sure if there is a reason behind the festival, can anyone help?

I am aware that all the hotels around the area set up different stalls to sell things each year, but it may have traditionalised from somewhere?

Regardless, the atmosphere over the past few days has been buzzing.

I tried a ‘butterfly pea tea’, although I’d be lying if I said I’d enjoy the taste. I thought it was awful but glad I tried.

On the other hand the Indian chicken kebabs were absolutely amazing! So much so that the stall sold out just after us.

And I met some Geishas 😊

Here’s a few more pics from the night. If you’re in Krabi this time next year I’d recommend it!

Chillin’ in Koh Lanta

Hi all, to be honest for the last 3 days and nights we’ve done absolutely nothing here in Koh Lanta. Though after 2 weeks of full on activities I think it was definitely overdue!

We’re staying in the Riviera Resort which I will post about tomorrow.

Koh Lanta is a lovely chilled place. It has a beautiful beach, bars and restaurants along the beach front and a lot less tourists than the other places we’ve been.

To be honest though that’s about it. Koh Lanta is somewhere you come to do absolutely nothing. All we’ve done is eat, sunbathe and swim. I got a bit carried away today though and burnt my forehead

Bad times. Oh and I found a swing..

This place is full of beach huts and reggae bars creating some seriously cool vibes.

Here’s the great sunset we witnessed last night  while sipping on a Caribbean sunset (de-lic-ious  by the way, grab yourself one from Freedom Bar)

For our last night tonight we went out for a lovely dinner along the beach. I ate this..

A real fish staring at me on a plate and I didn’t even scream, haven’t I progressed?!

Then we went to, yes you guessed it, a reggae bar.

All the pretty lights make it feel quite christmassy, we even found a Christmas tree yayy!

I have this wicked app called maps.me which pinpoints everywhere you go.. So here’s my Koh Lanta trip

  Next stop, Krabi!
