Happy Monday to all!
I’m feeling refreshed after a lovely weekend at the Bridgewood Manor Hotel, one of the QHotel chains that have 24 different hotels across the UK.
The hotel is located a few miles from Chatham and Rochester train stations (which was perfect as I dont drive) and is also easily accessible by car. Its rated a very well deserved 4 star, although personally I would rate it 5.
The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the food was more than exceptional and the facilities for the deal you can get on this was more than impressive.
I got a great deal as one of my boyfriends birthday presents, and the date also happened to fall on our 6 month anniversary. (awwww)
Our package included:
• Overnight stay in a stylish double or twin room
• Full English breakfast
• A delicious three-course evening meal
• A light lunch
• Health club with gym, pool, sauna, whirlpool and more*
• Warming robe and cosy slippers
• 1 x 60 minute Spa Ritual or 2 x 30 minute spa treatments
We arrived at 12:30pm on Friday and were surprised to hear that they already had a room ready and waiting for us, even though check-in wasn’t until 3pm. Tick.
We ordered our lunch and booked a time to eat via a simple form given to us. Tick Tick.
The sandwiches were delicious – I had salt beef and cheese, with a side of ketchup of course, as I have an unhealthy obsession with the stuff.
At 4pm we headed down for our treatments and were given these very cool robes and slippers (I may have brought the slippers back home with me..they were super comfy.)
I had an invigorating pedicure and a shoulder, neck and scalp massage. It was so relaxing that I fell asleep and the poor woman must’ve been victim to a very long 30 minutes of snoring.
The spa was open until 8pm where we could take full advantage of the indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room.
Evening Dinner
Food and service that I could not fault! The pictures do more justice than words.
The bar next door is open until midnight but was very quiet. I believe that Rochester have a few bars/clubs if you fancy going out after but we had an early night.
Morning breakfast
A full English buffet, eggs; scrambled and fried, sausages, hash browns the lot.
If you prefer the healthy approach there are cereals and fruit or waffles and muffins for the sweet tooths!
Or if you’re a bit of a gannet like me, try a bit of all of them!
Although check out was at 11am, we were still allowed to use the hotel and spa facilities for the rest of the day at our own leisure. Winning.
I would 100% recommend this package (click here to see it) to anyone with confidence. Just remember, you will have to book a weekday for the treatments and price. We went Friday – Saturday.
Have you been to any spas or hotels recently that you would recommend?
