Tequila & Mezcal Fest 2015!

A festival dedicated to Tequila? Now that’s likely to be a messy one.
The Tequila & Mezcal Fest returns for its second year promising tasty shots, master classes, live music and a cocktail making competition.
This is the UK’s first and only festival dedicated exclusively to showcasing the best of Mexico’s Agave spirits. The event in Old Spitalfields market on the 19th and 20th September offers a unique live experience to visitors, boasting over 40 different types of Tequila and Mezcal for you to drink and buy.

The idea is to promote and create a platform for new brands entering the UK market, aiming to ‘educate consumers on how to drink and enjoy these two traditional drinks’ (getting drunk along the way).
The 2 day festival will be jam packed with activities such as T&M Food Paring, Cocktail Master Classes and mixing classes by Industry Experts. For those who want to know more about the brands in detail, there is a Seminar, documentary, a Mexican Art display and a full Photography Exhibition.

The Live Entertainment will include Folklore dancers, a Mariachi band and a DJ, you can even try your hand at a lime squeezing competition if you fancy it!
Feeling hungry? Head over to one of the many pop up food vendors bringing you the best of Mexican street food. You can expect to see the likes of Wahaca, Café Pacifico, Barrio Bar and Condesa amongst others for some fine market dining.

The whole weekend is set to be a fine array of spices and ingredients, a great blend of hospitality and a host of authentic Mexican recipes to make you feel like your in Mexico City.

Don’t forget to exchange your ££ for Mexican Pesos as the whole place only accepts their very own currency!
