Yes its true, the shape is questionable and it coincidentally looks a bit like an adult sex toy for the BFG, but The Gherkin in London is not only an iconic piece of architecture, it is also home to a VIP restaurant.
‘Searcys’ is the restaurant of sky high indulgence with panoramic views of the entire city on the 40th floor. Granted, it’s a bit of a secret, as the Sky lounge comes with a strict members only policy. However, it has opened its doors to Joe Bloggs and pals for the first time ever this summer and everyone is welcome!
From July 20th, Kings and Peasants alike can dine in a Moroccan themed palace. Inspired by Le Fondouk and Le Comptoir Darna restaurants in Marrakech, the 7 week extravaganza boasts an exclusive ‘Taste of Spice’ menu with a variety of mid-afternoon Mezzes and snacks. Not to mention the cocktail concoctions and vibrantly infused teas.
The live entertainment is set to match its Middle-Eastern theme. There will be performances from belly dancers and oud players every Wednesday.
This is sure to be a very quick sell out, so get a move on if you want to book a ‘Gem Booth’ or a ‘Soltan Bed’ and party like an Arabian Prince. I’m looking forward to giving it a go.
